It is with great regret that the Tewksbury First Aid & Rescue Squad (TFARS) and the Tewksbury Township Public Library have decided it is in the best interest of our community to cancel the 2020 Tewksbury Annual Harvest Festival previously scheduled for September 26 (rain date 27). We are disappointed to have to make this decision and we held off making it as long as possible, but given the current risks associated with large gatherings and the logistics of planning the event under such conditions, it proved impractical.
The leadership and all our members and staff want to thank all of our past donors and participants in all the previous 21 Harvest Festivals and especially: County Concrete, Oldwick Animal Hospital, Peapack Gladstone Bank and Van Doren Oil who have generously donated to this year’s event. Last year’s Harvest Festival saw the addition of a few new features such as our beer garden and lemonade stand, both of which proved to be very popular. Next year we look forward to bringing those back and even more family fun and events for the residents of Tewksbury and the surrounding communities and beyond.
Both the Library and TFARS still do depend on fundraising for our continued success and the absence of a Harvest Festival this year impacts our budgets significantly. Both non-profit organizations perform vital functions in Tewksbury and we hope that even without a Harvest Festival, your generous financial support will continue.
